painted this for the love of Frida Kahlo , last year a small gesture to the artistic genius.

Recently , We had a college fest, In which walls are painted with beautiful graffiti's. This year being my 1st . I gave my design. The theme being symphony, only to know that my design was selected, overwhelmed as I was feeling, got to know that we would get only 2 days to paint it. Initially i thought we would not be able to finish In the given time limit, What can i say ,we did. Undoubtedly a Team Effort.

1st step whitewashing the wall.

the design was then scanned and projected on the wall. and line drawing was done.

started painting, kept on adding elements ,according to the size of the wall.

For Painting we were provided with only Primary Colours which explains my  improvisation with the colour scheme.

The theme being Symphony i created a feeling that it is a doodle drawn on a notebook,

so here it goes, The Girl is listening to music and all the Emotions she feels when listening to the same

so the emotions are so Strong that they are tearing the paper and coming out of it.

deja vu .....on photoshop

Well just started learning this software and iv'e already fallen i love with it ..This being a result of trying different tools . Also I am really inspired by Frida Kahlo's Work.

So i chose one of her painting and tried to fuse it with  Indian Mythical

element by adding Lord Kartikeya in the baground.

tried to create a very Fun and Pop element to it.

well, this graffiti i started out of nowhere ....the idea came to me when  i was listening to music 

and thats it...sketched it ..stuck paper on the wall. and stared painting it...more than the end result the 

fun you have in the journey is what matters..

Advent of this blog:

a while ago I was trying to create  a page for my artwork! but due to some reason it couldn't come into being because of some technical glitch. hence this blog.!  I had to rummage through my artworks for almost like 20 mins ,I was that confused and apprehensive regarding my works as this is the new beginning , and thus I ended up choosing this picture. now here comes the question, why did I chose this particular work of mine. after coming to NIFT, i have been busy doing lot of assignments which sometimes I end up being quite good, and often better than my earlier works. It's not that i'm growing conceit as I am talking about my works but i feel comparing my old and new works have let me see the development and growth in me. thanks to the great environment and awesome people around me who somehow inspire me to keep on creating something or the other. this artwork you see, the date? yeah 23.01.2012. that was the time I can never forget because I believe those days are one which have shaped me what I am today... so this pic is kind of reminder where I was and where I will head to. I hope you all will like this blog as it grows .
